Lions' Matthew Stafford is 16th-best QB in NFL, ESPN's Jaworski says

ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski is ranking all the probable starting quarterbacks in the NFL from 1-32 and he has made his way up to No. 15. That?s where he has the Cowboys? Tony Romo ? one spot ahead of the Lions? Matthew Stafford.

Other notable rankings include the Panthers? Cam Newton at No. 18, the Eagles? Michael Vick at No. 25 and the Jaguars? Chad Henne at No. 29.

Stafford completed 435 of 727 passes for 4,967 yards and 20 TD last season. His passer rating of 79.8 ranked 22nd in the NFL.

Jaworski called Stafford ?a supremely-talented thrower still searching for the consistency needed to become elite.?

He added: ?What stood out studying Stafford was he was not as efficient under center as he was in the shotgun.?
