Rugby Union: Crusaders coach unhappy with errors

Todd Blackadder has blamed the Crusaders' inability to take their chances for their failure to qualify for the Super Rugby final.

Crusaders coach unhappy with errors

The men from Christchurch went down 20-19 to the Chiefs in Saturday's semi-final clash, with second-half tries from Lelia Masaga and Aaron Cruden eventually proving the difference.
It now means the previously dominant Crusaders haven't won the Super Rugby title for five seasons and questions are being raised over whether or not Blackadder is the right man to lead the side in 2014.
The former All Black captain was understandably upset about his team's defeat in Hamilton and believes they only have themselves to blame after spurning a number of chances.
"I'm probably disappointed that we didn't play with the width and the dominance in the areas that we would have liked," he said. "It comes down to those critical decision-making errors on the field.
"It comes down to key moments. Probably the difference is that the Chiefs took their two (try-scoring) opportunities and we didn't quite nail ours."
