Witch Control : A Meister's Innocence

A sound soul, dwells within a sound mind, and a sound body.

A Weapon is a human that can change their body into the form of a harmful object. This can range from two blades to a melee weapon. Weapons are not human, they have Demon Weapon Blood. Some are from a long blood line of Weapons, but some are the only weapons in their family for long periods of time. The color of the Weapon's soul is comparative to the color that they show during transformation. Like a regular weapon, the duty of the Weapon is to protect their Meister at all costs in battle. Their duty is also to obey their Meister's commands; however, some Weapons break this duty, mostly because they view their Meister as not just a partner, but a close friend, so in order to ensure their safety, they sometimes refuse to obey their Meister's commands and criticize their decisions.

Demon Weapons are paired up with Meisters, skilled humans with great combat skills. With the Weapon's ability to strengthen their Meister, and vice versa, a Weapon and Meister team can combine their respective powers to become near unstoppable in battle. They can also make each other stronger by working together, making the bond between Weapon and Meister a strong and close one. In order to work together properly, the Meister must understand the Weapon's will, and vice versa. The Demon Weapon is not a normal weapon, or an inanimate object. It is a person with objectives. When perfectly in sync with each other, they can become a lethal force. Just by matching their breathing, a Weapon and Meister can fight flawlessly. When paired with a Meister, a Weapon becomes extremely deadly. By performing resonance between a Meister and a Weapon, the Weapon can unleash a variety of abilities and can even change its physical form.

This level of power can be achieved through what is known as a Soul Resonance, where both Meister and Weapon synchronize their souls with each other. In this state, their thoughts are both synchronized so well, that Weapons can even react to their Meister's emotions.

Meisters are best known for being paired with a weapon, but top-level Meisters can fight on their own. Meisters are humans who show great potential in combat and physical fitness, giving them an advantage in a fight. The skills of a Meister vary from person to person but they all must know how to channel their soul's wavelength. This can either be through themselves or through a weapon. During both these instances, the Meister can unleash a variety of abilities. Meisters are to give commands to their weapon, if in a pair.

In theory, there is no restriction on who is capable of wielding a Weapon. Apart from Meisters, it has been demonstrated that many other beings can wield a weapon: other Weapons, animals, Witches, or even a soulless creature with a soul implanted within. However, in practice, the wielder's soul must be able to align with that of the Weapon or a rejection reaction effect will occur.

With this power comes the need for order. Shinigami, Lord Death to his students, created the DWMA just for that.

The Death Weapon Meister Academy, or DWMA, has a duty to protect the world from evil and preserve peace. In the world, there are humans that may abandon their life as a human and go on the path of an Evil human, a path that transforms them into vicious evil beings that kill innocent humans for their pure souls. When enough souls are consumed, the Evil human can transform into an incredibly dangerous being called a Kishin.

To stop this, the DWMA trains people to combat against these Evil humans, by training their students from a young age to fight and kill these beings. The DWMA trains these Meisters and Weapons to also combat against Witches, which also threaten the peace of the world. Many students are motivated into fighting against the Evil humans and Witches with their main goal: making or becoming a Death scythe. When a Demon Weapon has consumed a certain amount of souls in a particular order (99 Evil human souls and 1 Witch Soul) they gain extraordinary power and can be used by Lord Death himself. Creating a Death scythe is thus known to be a hard and difficult process, and many Meisters are respected for creating a Death scythe, and Death scythes themselves are respected among the students as well.

As well as an organization to protect the peace in the world, Death Weapon Meister Academy is also a philanthropic organization, donating a lot of its money in order to help with the upkeep of the world. In turn, the Academy runs on global tax.

Now, as a Meister, or as a Weapon, you have the duty to join the DWMA and prevent the creation of Kishins and the continuation of witches. The witches lately have been capturing Meister/Weapon teams and putting them under control. As well as defeating witches, special teams will be chosen to retrieve the captured students from under the witches' control. Having the students under their control is very dangerous and could help the witches bring down DWMA.
